The DIY garden guru starts by constructing the frame using wood pallets and a slatted headboard.
Using wood pallets and other repurposed materials, Hodges builds out the frame first.
He then covers the base with geofabric before covering it in dirt and fertilizer.
He presses down the soil before rolling out a layer of soft green sod, creating the bed’s “mattress”.
Pillows and a nice comfy blanket are all that is needed to finish off this one-of-a-kind daybed.
Hodges grass-filled daybed is perfect for concrete rooftops or small yards. Those looking to get even more creative could add bookshelves, storage space, or even a wet bar – perfect for those hot summer nights.
