Love fast food and junk food? Shamefully, I do too. Despite my best effort to eat healthy, there are just some days that I crave and can’t help myself from opening a bag of chips or going out to my favorite fast food chain. I know that it’s bad but I just can’t help myself sometimes. Knowing that, I searched for ways to flush out the fat and toxins in my body. And what better way to do it than a detox drink.
This detox tea recipe I’m sharing has green tea base and we all know that green tea has a lot of benefits. From antioxidants to weight loss, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t drink it. So let’s begin, start brewing your tea and let’s start detoxifying our body!
Ingredients for this detox tea:
- about a liter of green tea
- 1/2 tbsp. turmeric
- a dash of cayenne pepper
- 1 lemon
- honey to taste
Brew about a liter of green tea.
Transfer your tea in a mason jar or any container you have available.
Add your turmeric.
Cut your lemon and squeeze it into the tea.
Add a dash of cayenne pepper. Remember that this is very hot. If you just want to have a little kick in your detox tea, don’t add a lot.
Add honey to taste. If you want to make it sweeter, add more!
Mix it well. You can drink it as is or let it cool in the refrigerator.
