- a variety of pink and red lipsticks
- drawing paper
- 8×10 frame
- pencil
- heart template (optional)
I used regular drawing paper for this project, but feel free to use a canvas or any other type of paper. Just make sure you test it out before using it. You want to make sure the lipstick adheres to the paper well so it can dry properly.
I’m sure every woman has left over lipstick in there make up stash. You know, from the ones that didn’t work out:0) But if you need some extra colors. Just go to you local drug store or dollar store and pick up some for 99 cents!
Instructions:
First take your drawing paper and your heart template and and lightly draw a heart in the middle.
Then start at the left side of the heart and begin to “color” your heart by using bold strokes. Keep doing that with different shades of lipstick until you’re done.
The key to this technique is going outside of the pencil lines. Have fun!
Allow the print to dry for about 24 hours and then frame it.
Wasn’t that simple! High Fives all around!! I think these would be great gifts for a valentine! Or even a perfect art piece for your Valentine’s mantel. I also think they would be awesome as children’s art!
