Turning Grandma’s, too old, ugly and outdated lamp into something that brightens your flower beds. With just a few steps this is an easy, fast, and make your yard pretty, kind of craft. The kids can even help from picking the colors to helping you paint.
- Thrift Store Lamp
- Dollar store bowl
- Spray Paint color, Primer, and clear coat.
- Industrial Strength Glue
- Pliers
- May need wrench for bolts
Instructions
Step 1: Disassemble Lamp. Removing Hardware and Wire.
Step 2: Primer the Lamp and Bowl. You don’t have to paint anything. If you’re going to keep the natural look, move to step 4.
Step 3: Paint with any colors you want and let dry completely. Antique if you chose. I also chose to drill holes in the bowl, to prevent mosquito habitat and yucky water.
Step 4: Glue your bowl on the lamp. Use an industrial strength glue.
Step 5: Spray paint with a clear coat … something to seal in your work.
